The Songbird - large leather barrette

We love products that combine art and functionality. Our leather barrettes do just that. 
The image is the digitalization of an original drawing, laser engraved into the leather. 
The barrette tames your hair without having to put a lot of time into it, looks good while doing it and stays put all day.

The large barrette is best for longer, thicker or curly hair, and when you want your whole bun to be held by it. 

The dimensions are:
2.75" x 5.5"
7 cm x 14 cm

The edges of the barrette are coated with a protective paint to contrast the brighter leather, and stop the edges from fraying. It is all natural and pigment based. 

The leather is a medium thick veg tan. It is sturdy and has the natural, light tan color of undyed leather. Over time and the more you use it, the leather will darken some and get this beautiful aged patina of a well loved leather piece.
The leather is made from the hides of sustainably, pasture-raised cattle – a by-product of meat production. It is processed and tanned without the use of toxic chemicals or heavy metals, in a small family-owned tannery in Germany that values craftsmanship over mass production. It’s leather, done the most ethical way possible.
